Lauren created a photo-meme of a day in the life. I thought it was a coolio idea, so here's mine! I'm sectioning it into several posts but will keep them in order below here...enjoy!

TIME SPAN: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. (or thereabouts)

7:01 a.m.

Call of the wild. The boys are up. Yeah, I'm THAT happy. Note the red and puffy eyes. That's courtesy of the caffeine I had last night - WAY TOO LATE last night.

7:36 a.m.

Coffee's brewing! That's my latest read, a James Patterson novel. My mom sent it to me and told me not to read it until after Tyler's birthday (tomorrow), but I couldn't resist getting started. Thomas and James are out because they are my models for my big project today. Those little bottles are coffee flavorings my favorite coffee shop just started selling yesterday!

8:10 a.m.

MUCH better...ahhhh. I'm off to write my post on my regular blog...

9:33 a.m.

Heading outside to do a bit of yard maintenance!

9:47 a.m.

We have some autumn visitors to our backyard...

The monarch butterflies are beginning their southward migration - we'll see TONS of these over the next couple of weeks...

...and electric blue damselfly.

And then the yard work we're doing. Tyler's such a helper. Note: I worked my tail off, pulling weeds and trimming back my herbs. I'm am muddy-grungy, which is why you're not getting a picture of me this time.

11:20 a.m.

The beginnings of my Saturday project - icing a birthday cake/scene...

12:10 p.m.

Thomas...he's ALIVE!!!!

1:20 p.m.

TA-DA! Thomas and Percy, ready to party hearty at the EXTRAVAGANZA tomorrow!

Not too shabby for a first time cake decorator, eh?

1:42 p.m.

Scott and Travis are on their way to the Cub Scout Raingutter Regatta (make a boat and float it down a raingutter and blow on it with a straw to see who can win), Tyler's napping, and I'm getting a shower...FINALLY.

Well, that didn't last long.

3:28 p.m.

At the Raingutter Regatta...

Now we "get" to sit through the awards ceremony (we left right after Travis got a participant ribbon...we were READY to go home!

5:28 p.m.

Time for dinner! The in-laws are in town (6 total - Scott's parents, aunt, grandma, cousin and her husband) so we met up with them for Mexican food.

Still waiting on our dinner...

Good food to eat - Scott had somethingorother, and I had the fajita salad (sorry, I ate half of it before I took the picture).

Winding down - the boys were watching a movie in my MIL's van, so we brought it home to try and finish. It is bedtime, though...we'll be turning in soon.

8:12 p.m.

Prayers said, tucked in, lights out...nighty-night boys!

Cupcakes for Tyler's little friend party on Monday - at the park - it is supposed to rain. Naturally! (yes, I made 48 cupcakes after the boys went to bed tonight!)

9:50 p.m.

Finished all the cupcakes and got everything organized for the BIG EXTRAVAGANZA tomorrow (can we say, THREE???). Been a long day - I'm going to bed!

Finally going to bed - sorry, no picture...but I managed to get all this done tonight. Just another day in the life!
